Power Divider (cams and wedges/”peanuts”): Some suppliers do not verify these parts to spec. If mismatched it can cause noise, excessive wear, or premature failure. REMACK® replaces wedges with all new parts and closely inspects and measures cams.
Gear Set (Pinion and Ring Gear): The gear set is manufactured together to ensure an accurate gear teeth pattern. Some suppliers do not verify gear tooth patterns and/or backlash to spec. If mismatched it can cause noise, excessive wear, or premature failure. REMACK® uses only mated gear sets. If one gear is worn, the set is scrapped. The gear set is always measured and checked for preload and gear patterns for conformance to specifications.
Pinion (Spur) Shaft and Bull Gear: Some suppliers do not verify gear tooth patterns to specifications. If not set properly, it will result in the teeth being loaded either to the side or heel. If they are mismatched, it can cause noise, excessive wear, or premature failure. REMACK® always measures preload and gear patterns for conformance to specifications.
Missing Covers: Some suppliers do not provide covers. REMACK® units always include covers.
Out-of-Spec Bearings: Some suppliers use old/out-of-spec bearings. REMACK® units use 100% new bearings. REMACK ® Rebuilder Series™ units use new bearings where needed but may use low milage/new truck ratio conversion bearings.

QUALITY:
Located in Middletown, PA, the company’s remanufacturing operation (Reman) receives components that have exceeded their initial life cycle and restores them to their original performance specifications. These Reman components then begin another life cycle with genuine Mack reliability. Critical steps are taken to ensure quality, such as an environmentally controlled gague calibration room where over 1800 gauges are under calibration control and provide certifications up to 0.00005″ (as a reference, a sheet of paper is 0.0039″ thick). Additionally, Mack Trucks also utilizes a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to measure for size and location for machined parts quality control and verification of proper machine repair.
